A: To help your beautiful blooms last as long as possible, follow these simple steps:

• Trim Stems: Upon arrival, re-cut about 1-2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle using a sharp knife or floral shears. This prevents airlocks and allows for better water absorption.
• Remove Lower Leaves: Remove any leaves that would fall below the waterline in your vase. Submerged leaves can rot and contaminate the water, shortening your flowers’ life.
• Use a Clean Vase & Fresh Water: Always use a clean vase to prevent bacteria buildup. Fill it with fresh, cool water immediately after trimming the stems.
• Change Water Daily: Change the water daily or every other day, and re-cut the stems each time. This keeps the water fresh and the flowers hydrated.
• Choose the Right Location: Place your flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators or appliances), and ripening fruit (which releases ethylene gas that can prematurely age flowers).
