By using this website, you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions of use. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, “Us”, “Our” and “We” refers to downiesflowers.co.nz and “You” and “Your” refers to you, the client, visitor, website user or any person using our website.


We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check these terms regularly prior to using our website to ensure you are aware of any changes. We will endeavour to highlight any significant or substantive changes to you where possible. If you choose to use our website then we will regard that use as conclusive evidence of your agreement and acceptance that these terms govern your and downiesflowers.co.nz’s rights and obligations to each other.


It is an essential pre-condition to you using our website that you agree and accept that downiesflowers.co.nz is not legally responsible for any loss or damage you might suffer related to your use of the website, whether from errors or from omissions in our documents or information, any goods or services we may offer or from any other use of the website. Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable.

It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific, personal requirements. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.


All pricing on this website is in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and includes Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.


downiesflowers.co.nz Uses Trusted External Couriers And Other Reputable Courier Companies To Deliver Physical Goods. Orders Will Not Be Dispatched Until Full Payment Is Received And downiesflowers.co.nz Is Satisfied With The Integrity Of The Order.

It is your obligation to enter the correct delivery address details at the time of ordering. If the delivery details you have given are incorrect, downiesflowers.co.nz will not refund any payment. If you wish to send the order again it will be at full expense. 

Delivery times may vary depending on the delivery company chosen. downiesflowers.co.nz is not responsible for goods that are either damaged in transit or not received. Replacement of damaged or lost items is made at the discretion of downiesflowers.co.nz

Normal delivery hours for downiesflowers.co.nz are between 9am and 6pm Mon-Sat. downiesflowers.co.nz offers same day delivery for orders submitted before 1pm Monday to Friday for all Christchurch suburbs, 12pm for business addresses or outer areas; and by 11am for same-day flower delivery for all Christchurch suburbs, 9am for outer areas Saturdaysdowniesflowers.co.nz cannot guarantee a specific delivery time. We will make every attempt to fulfil your request but cannot guarantee it.

As downiesflowers.co.nz is closed on Sundays and public holidays, we will deliver your gift on the next available business day.

Orders submitted out of cut-off times will be delivered on the next business day, without notice. 4% of the total amount will be charged as handling fee if those orders are to be cancelled.

Prices of goods and services and delivery and other charges displayed on the downiesflowers.co.nz web-site are current at the time of display. These prices are subject to variation without notice. We will always attempt to be as accurate as possible with our product descriptions and pricing. 

Flowers/plants are seasonal and subject to availability on the day of delivery. Containers are subject to availability on the day and may be substituted.


If you feel your flowers (or other gifts) didn’t arrive in the best condition let us know within 24 hours.

Once we’re confident that they have been cared for as recommended, we will happily replace the flowers.

  • Orders can be cancelled, if we haven’t yet arranged your flowers or gifts order. About 4% of the total amount will be charged as handling fee if your order was placed via the online shop.
  • Given the perishable nature of many of our products, we do not offer refunds on cancelled orders that have been picked and arranged or are out for delivery on those perishable products.
  • Non-perishable products may be approved for a refund if returned in new condition within 24 hours. Delivery fee is non-refundable.
  • For orders submitted out of cut-off times, if delivery on the next available business day is not accepted, about 4% of the total amount will be charged as handling fee.
  • Refunds can only be made back to the credit card that was used for the original purchase. Approved refunds will be processed within 1-3 business days of the cancellation.

We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third-parties. 
We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third-party’s policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.
